Transmission stub for DIY shift linkages. Fits B and D series transmissions. This stub goes on the transmission just like the OEM linkage goes on. It uses a factory roll pin and clip. The male end of the stub has a .750″ o.d., so it will slip into a 3/4″ universal joint to be welded directly to. This is the piece we use in our G Force shift linkages.
This stub is machined to fit exactly like an OEM component. It slides onto the transmission selector shaft and is secured using the factory roll pin (often called the 'bitch pin') and clip.
The male end of this stub has a precise 0.750-inch (3/4″) outer diameter. It is designed to slip tightly into any standard steering or shifting universal joint with a matching 3/4″ inside diameter.
Yes, the selector shaft geometry on Honda B-Series and D-Series manual transmissions allows this single stub design to fit both applications perfectly for custom linkage builds.
Yes, this is a DIY fabrication component. To create a functional linkage, you must weld a universal joint onto the end of this stub. It is supplied as raw steel ready for welding.
Modifying stock linkages can be messy and imprecise. This stub provides a clean, fresh starting point with perfect tolerances for building a rigid, race-spec shifter setup like our G-Force kits.
