Gaston has trusted us to breathe life into his 09 GT-R and has decided to go all in on the T1 Series 7 package. Follow along on this project as we resurrect this car into a proper 1900+ HP race car.
Post 1
The car arrives at T1 on a car transport trailer and preliminary photos are taken.
Post 2
Inspection and teardown begin. This car is from an unforgiving climate, so careful attention was paid to any spots that have accumulated extra grime and buildup. Troubled areas were determined and cleaned.
Post 3
The original core support was damaged, so it was removed and replaced with a new OEM unit.
Post 4
Work begins on the GT1R small rear brake kit and front carbon ceramic conversion. For the rear, Gaston also decided to go with the SPL GT1R monoball bushing set. Here we have Brandon making provisions to the 370z rear spindles to fit the SPL bushing set and expertly getting them into their place.
Installation of the bracket and clearance check for the carbon ceramic front BBK.
Post 5
Verlkine front and rear subframes are installed on the car with SPL traction, toe, and camber links. Our GT1R Small rear brake kit makes its way to the back of the car. Once back on the ground, the interior was removed in order for the car to be sent off for a full weld-in cage.
