ID1300-XDS, for Audi/VW VR6 models (12 valve),  Set of 6

The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.

While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.

Frequently Asked Questions About the ID1300-XDS Injector

What estimated horsepower will the ID1300-XDS support on a turbocharged VW VR6 12V running E85 on an aftermarket fuel system?

The ID1300-XDS (1335 cc/min at 43.5 psi) is a top-tier injector for the VR6 platform. This 6-injector set provides flow capacity to support heavily boosted E85 setups up to 650 to 800 wheel horsepower (whp), making it ideal for drag and high-performance street applications where fuel demands are extreme.

Is the 60mm length of the ID1300-XDS (PN: 1300.60.14.14B.6) a direct, unmodified drop-in for the VW VR6 12V fuel rail?

Yes, it is a direct fit. This ID1300-XDS set is configured to the correct 60mm O-ring to O-ring length and 14mm O-ring diameter required for the VW VR6 12V fuel rail. It installs directly into the factory rail and manifold bosses without requiring spacers or rail modifications.

Does this USCAR ID1300-XDS set for the VR6 12V include the Plug-and-Play (PNP) adapters for the EV1 connector?

Adapters are required and are often included with this specific part number. The ID1300-XDS uses the USCAR (EV6/EV14) connector, while the VR6 12V factory harness uses the older rectangular EV1 (Minitimer) connector. Ensure you have the six USCAR to EV1 PNP adapters (ID P/N 90.1) for a clean electrical installation.

Where can my VW/Audi tuner find the official Injector Dynamics Dead Time data for the ID1300-XDS for tuning software like Maestro or C2 Motorsports?

Injector Dynamics provides comprehensive and validated characterization data, including Dead Time and Flow vs. Pressure tables (based on ID1300x), which is provided to professional tuners. This data is essential for accurate scaling in aftermarket tuning software to ensure the narrow-angle VR6 engine runs smoothly.

Is a steady idle achievable on the VR6 with such large 1335 cc/min injectors, or should I expect a rough idle on pump gas?

A smooth idle is achievable with proper tuning. The ID1300-XDS is meticulously matched across the low pulse width range (Dual Slope Matching). By inputting the correct data into your VR6 ECU, the injector delivers a highly stable minimum fuel mass, guaranteeing excellent idle and low-speed drivability, even on gasoline.
