T1 Huracan/R8 Complete Fuel Solution Kit for Boost Logic Intake Manifold
The factory fuel system on the Huracan and R8 is a fairly complex system between the integration of both a direct and port injection systems. When attempting to make double and triple the factory power figures, it’s easy to understand why much of the fuel system needs to be upgraded, especially for those wanting to take advantage of ethanol-based fuels.
With a heavy background in automotive fuel systems, T1 has put together a Complete Fuel Solution in order to address every single aspect of upgrading the fuel system. The key component in our kit is undoubtedly the Injector Dynamics BPC-1100 which is a SINGLE brushless fuel pump system capable of 2,000whp on ethanol fuels and 3,000whp on race gas. In addition to these impressive power figures the system has the ability to vary pump speed based on fuel demand to avoid overheating the fuel. One major benefit of using this fuel pump setup with the included hanger components is the ability to mount it in the factory fuel tank, which removes the need for an externally mounted surge tank that many other kits require. By doing so, and retaining the OE method of keeping the ‘surge tank’ the pump sits in full, full power runs can safely be made with as little as a couple gallons of fuel in the tank.
The kit comes with all the necessary pre-made lines and fittings for plumbing, none of which require any permanent modification to the car. In addition to these items an Injector Dynamics F750 fuel filter and ethanol content analyzer are included which allow the end user full Flex-Fuel capability, and proper filtering to protect the fuel injectors. Completing the kit is the included Fore F2i fuel pressure regulator which returns excess fuel back in the factory hard lines.
This system will require the tuner to have control over the PWM signal duty cycle sent to the fuel pump. This is no problem with any standalone, but if you’re using a stock ECU you’ll need to confirm with your tuner this isn’t a problem. If it is, doing pump speed control relative to a MAP sensor wired in is also possible.
When used with a MoTeC M1 ECU, we also offer full CAN diagnostics sent back to the ECU for datalogging. These include supply voltage, supply current, motor current, flow rate (current and average over the life of the system), internal controller temperature, pump duty cycle, system state, input PWM duty cycle, run time (current and life), and diagnostic states. This can all be very handy when troubleshooting or confirming everything is working as expected.
This version of our Complete Fuel Solution is designed to be used with the Boost Logic intake manifold and fuel rail kit. The system fully integrates with the factory DI system and retains all OEM functionality.
In addition, a T1 single to dual pump conversion kit with a secondary ID 1,100lph in-tank fuel pump is available with the drop down menu below. The dual pump version of this kit is capable of ~2,700whp on ethanol.
If a secondary pump is selected, the following will be included in addition:
Every fuel line in our Complete Fuel Solution is rated for ethanol use and features crimp hose ends. All lines needing heat protection are finished in a reflective heat sleeve to ensure adequate protection.
The F750 fuel filter is vital in ensuring proper filtration for the port injection portion of the fuel system and will minimize maintenance required over the life of the vehicle.
