ID1300-XDS, for R35 / VR38. 14mm (grey) adapter top. GTR lower spacer / 14mm bottom o-ring. Set of 6.
The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.
While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.
Base Specifications
The ID1300-XDS (1335 cc/min at 43.5 psi) set of 6 injectors provides high-flow for the VR38. It supports E85 applications up to the 700 to 850 wheel horsepower range. This is the top limit for reliable, non-staged injection on E85 before requiring an auxiliary fuel system.
Yes, it is a direct fit. This ID1300-XDS set is configured to the specific short-body 48mm O-ring to O-ring length required for the VR38DETT fuel rail. It includes a specific GTR lower spacer (indicated by 'R35' in the part number) for correct seating and sealing.
Yes, adapters are required. The ID1300-XDS uses the modern USCAR connector. The factory R35 harness uses a Denso style connector. You will need six USCAR to Denso PNP adapters (ID P/N 90.3 or 91.3) for a clean, non-splicing electrical hookup.
Injector Dynamics provides comprehensive and validated characterization data, including Injector Lag Time (Dead Time) and Low Pulse Width Compensation tables (based on ID1300x2). This data is available on the Injector Dynamics support site, making the often-difficult EcuTek scaling process straightforward.
The injector's Dual Slope Matching technology is paramount in the R35, ensuring that the cylinder-to-cylinder consistency remains tight at the low pulse widths encountered during idle and cruising. This precision is key for street cars and prevents the VR38 from running rough.
