The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.

While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.

Is this a complete injector set for my Mazda RX-8, and is it a direct fit?

This is a set of two (2) injectors specifically designed to upgrade the secondary injector positions on the 03-11 Mazda RX-8. They are a direct physical fit for the factory secondary fuel rail, featuring the correct 11mm top o-ring and 60mm length.

Why does this kit only include two injectors instead of a full set?

The RX-8 uses a staged injection system. Smaller primary injectors handle idle and low-load driving, while larger secondary injectors provide most of the fuel under high load (boost). This kit upgrades the crucial secondary injectors, which is the standard method for supporting forced induction (turbo/supercharger) builds.

Do I need wiring adapters to install these in the secondary rail?

No. This injector kit is application-specific and comes with the correct Denso-style electrical connectors. They will plug directly into your RX-8's factory harness for the secondary injectors without any need for cutting or splicing.

What power can my turbocharged RX-8 support with these secondary injectors?

When used as secondary injectors in a forced induction RX-8, the ID1300-XDS can provide fuel for well over 450 wheel-horsepower, especially when running E85. Your final power output will depend on your specific turbo setup, primary injectors, fuel pump, and ECU tune.
