The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.

While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.

This 14mm version is for FD primary rails that have been modified or replaced with aftermarket rails designed for a larger 14mm bore at the top (fuel rail side) seal. The injector still utilizes the 60mm O-ring to O-ring length and 14mm lower seal for the manifold. Check your primary rail bore size carefully before ordering, as this is not for the factory 11mm OEM primary rail.

Is 1300 cc/min too large for a primary injector on a street-driven, sequential twin-turbo FD3S using E85 fuel?

No, it is ideal. The 13B-REW requires a massive flow increase for E85. The 1335 cc/min flow rate of the ID1300-XDS handles the entire light-load, cruise, and transition zone before the secondary injectors kick in. Injector Dynamics' superior low-pulse linearity ensures excellent idle quality and prevents the engine from running overly rich, despite the high flow rate.

Where can I access the necessary Short Pulse Width Adder tables for the ID1300-XDS to tune my FD3S with a Haltech Elite or Adaptronic ECU?

The complete characterization data, including Short Pulse Width Adder and Dead Time vs. Voltagetables (based on ID1300x), is provided on the Injector Dynamics website. This data is essential for rotary tuners using Haltech, MoTeC, or Link to correctly compensate for the non-linear range of a high-flow injector on the 13B-REW.

Will the USCAR connector on this ID1300-XDS set require a wiring adapter to connect to the factory FD3S primary harness connectors?

Yes, adapters are required. The FD's primary injector wiring uses the Denso connector style. You will need one USCAR to Denso Plug-and-Play (PNP) adapter (ID P/N 90.3) per injector (total of two for this set) to ensure a direct, damage-free electrical connection to the harness.

Does the ID1300-XDS spray pattern improve performance on the 13B-REW’s unique manifold runners, and what filter is best?

The ID1300-XDS features a highly optimized and stable spray pattern which leads to improved fuel atomization and better cylinder-to-cylinder consistency.
