ID1300-XDS, for 87-88 RX-7 (incl. Turbo II). 11mm (blue) adapter top. -204 / 14mm lower o-rings. Set of 2.
The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.
While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. v
Base Specifications
The ID1300-XDS delivers a massive increase in flow (1300cc) necessary for turbocharged FC RX-7 (13B-T) engines running higher boost or E85 fuel. Critically, it offers better control at low pulsewidths, which is essential for a smooth rotary idle and cruise.
This specific Injector Dynamics configuration includes the correct 11mm top hat adapter and lower seals required for the 87-88 RX-7 fuel rail (which typically uses two primary and two secondary injectors). It is designed to be a direct fit, assuming a top-feed conversion if needed.
The ID1300-XDS features corrosion-resistant stainless steel internals. This construction provides long-term reliability and durability when using corrosive fuels like E85, a common choice for high-performance RX-7 builds.
Yes. Due to the significant flow increase over stock rotary injectors, a standalone ECU capable of processing the detailed Injector Dynamics data and a professional custom tune are required to ensure safe air/fuel ratios and prevent engine damage.
The RX-7 rotary engine uses four injectors in total (two primary and two secondary). Therefore, you must order a set of four injectors (or two sets of two, depending on how the product is sold) to completely replace the fuel injectors in your 13B engine.
