The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.

While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.

Frequently Asked Questions About the 90-05 Miata, 1.6L / 1.8L | ID1300-XDS

Will this ID1300-XDS 4-injector set support a high-boost turbo Miata (1.8L) running E85 on a MS3PNP or AEM standalone ECU?

Yes, with massive margin. The ID1300-XDS (1335 cc/min at 43.5 psi) is sized for extreme power levels on the Miata platform. This set can typically support {E85} turbocharged 1.8L builds up to 550-650 wheel horsepower (whp) depending on fuel pressure, well above what a stock block is capable of handling. It provides maximum safety and duty cycle headroom.

What specific fitment steps are needed for the 60mm ID1300-XDS on the NA/NB Miata 1.6L or 1.8L factory fuel rail?

This specific part number is designed with an 11mm adapter top (blue) and uses the -204 lower cushion to achieve the required 60mm O-ring to O-ring length. You must remove the factory lower O-ring retainer from the manifold ports for a correct fit and seal into the Miata intake.

Since the Miata uses Denso connectors, are USCAR to Denso Plug-and-Play (PNP) adapters included with this ID1300-XDS set?

Yes, adapters are commonly needed and usually included. The ID1300-XDS uses the USCAR connector, which is different from the factory Mazda/Denso connector on the NA/NB Miata. This specific kit (PN 1300.11.02.60.11.4-PU) is typically supplied with the necessary USCAR to Denso PNP adapters (ID P/N 90.3) for a splice-free installation.

Where can I find the precise dead time data tables for the ID1300-XDS to configure my Megasquirt (MS3PNP) ECU?

Injector Dynamics provides comprehensive characterization data (Battery Voltage Correction, Short Pulse Adder) optimized for use in standalone ECUs like Megasquirt (MS3). This data (based on ID1300x) is hosted on the Injector Dynamics website and is mandatory for achieving reliable idle and low-speed driveability with this high-flow injector on the Miata's small-displacement engine.

If I run E85 in my turbo Miata, what preventative maintenance is necessary to maintain the flow stability of the ID1300-XDS?

The ID1300-XDS features all stainless steel internals for superior corrosion resistance against E85. However, ethanol will strip debris from your tank and lines. You must install a dedicated 10-micron or finer secondary (post-pump) fuel filter to protect the injector screens and preserve the calibrated flow rate consistency.
