ID1300-XDS, for 85-86 RX-7. 11mm (blue) adapters. -204 / 14mm lower o-rings. Set of 2.
The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.
While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.
Base Specifications
Yes. The 1335 cc/min flow rate of the ID1300-XDS (Set of 2) is sufficient for all non-turbo 13B rotary applications and many moderate turbo setups targeting 350-450 wheel horsepower (whp) on E85. This provides the necessary fuel mass for the higher consumption rate of ethanol in the 13B engine while maintaining superior low-flow control.
This specific configuration uses an 11mm adapter top (blue) and a {14mm} lower O-ring (with a -204 cushion) to achieve the 60mm O-ring to O-ring length. This setup ensures the correct mechanical sealing and fuel spray angle for Mazda FC RX-7 fuel rails that use an 11mm bore for the top seal, providing a direct replacement for your original injectors.
The ID1300-XDS is engineered with Dual Slope Matching to provide precise control in the non-linear range (low pulse widths). This feature prevents the overly rich or inconsistent idle often associated with high-flow injectors, guaranteeing the best possible short pulse width control for excellent idle and transition on a 13B rotary engine.
Since this application often involves upgrading from an older injector connector type (or swapping to a standalone ECU), the ID1300-XDS (USCAR connector) will require the USCAR to Denso Plug-and-Play (PNP) adapters (ID P/N 90.3) or USCAR pigtails for a clean electrical connection to your modified harness. Always verify the connector type currently installed in your vehicle.
The stainless steel internals prevent internal corrosion from ethanol. The main maintenance requirement is a high-quality fuel filter. Injector Dynamics requires a dedicated 10-micron or finer secondary (post-pump) fuel filter to be used to prevent clogging, which is especially critical on older chassis where rust and debris can be dislodged by E85.
