Ford RS MKII-IV | ID1300-XDS | Injector Dynamics | 1300.48.14.14.5

ID1300-XDS, for Ford RS MKII-IV applications, 14 mm (grey) adaptors. Set of 5.

The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.

While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.

Frequently Asked Questions About the ID1300-XDS Injector

Will this injector physically fit my car? Since this part doesn't list a specific car model, how do I check if the ID1300-XDS (Part No: 1300.48.14.14) will physically fit my fuel rail?

You need to check three key dimensions on your engine: length, top O-ring size, and bottom O-ring size. This specific injector is 48mm from O-ring to O-ring (a short body design) and uses a 14mm diameter O-ring for both the top (fuel rail) and the bottom (intake manifold). If your current setup uses these dimensions, this part will be a direct mechanical fit.

Do I need an adapter plug for my car's wiring? What kind of electrical plug does this injector use, and will I have to splice my factory wiring harness?

This ID1300-XDS uses the standard USCAR (EV14) connector. If your vehicle’s factory harness already uses the USCAR plug, it is plug-and-play. If your car uses an older style, you will need a Plug-and-Play adapter harness (for example, USCAR to Denso) to ensure a proper, solder-free electrical connection.

Can I run E85 or other ethanol fuels safely with these? I want to switch to E85. Is this ID1300-XDS built to handle the corrosive nature of ethanol?

Yes, absolutely. The XDS injectors are designed specifically for E85 and other alternative fuels. They feature all-stainless steel internal components, which completely resist the corrosion that ethanol can cause. This makes them much more reliable and durable for long-term E85 use than injectors with standard internals.

What are the official flow specs for my tuner? What is the actual flow rate, and how high can I safely run the fuel pressure with the ID1300-XDS?

The nominal flow rate is around 1340 cc/min when measured at the industry standard of 3.0 Bar (43.5 PSI). This injector is built to maintain stable flow under very high pressure, with a maximum differential fuel pressure rating up to 6.0 Bar (87.0 PSI), making it stable for high-boost, high-demand engine setups.

Will my engine still idle smoothly with such a big injector? Since 1300 cc/min is a lot of fuel, will my car have a rough idle or poor street manners?

No, that is where the XDS technology shines. Injector Dynamics focuses on a low minimum fuel mass. This precision ensures you get the huge flow capacity you need for peak performance while maintaining the smooth, OEM-like idle and cruise stability required for a daily driver.
