ID1300-XDS, for Monaro / LS2 applications. Orange lower o-ring. 14mm (grey) adapter top, set of 8.
The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.
While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.
Base Specifications
The ID1300-XDS (1335 cc/min at 43.5 psi) set of 8 injectors provides flow for forced induction E85 setups well into the 900 to 1050+ wheel horsepower (approx. 670-780+ kW) range, offering maximum safety margin for supercharged or turbo Monaro LS2 builds.
Yes, it is a direct fit. This ID1300-XDS set is configured to the specific short-body 48mm O-ring to O-ring length required for the LS2 intake manifold. It uses the factory 14mm top seal and 15mm orange lower seal, ensuring a perfect drop-in installation without spacers.
No, no adapters are required. The factory Monaro LS2 harness (VZ Monaro uses the later Gen IV PCM) already utilizes the modern USCAR (EV6/EV14) connector, which perfectly matches the connector on the ID1300-XDS. This setup is a direct electrical plug-in installation.
Injector Dynamics provides comprehensive characterization data, including Dead Time (Latency) and Flow vs. Pressure tables (based on ID1300x2). This data is crucial for the E40/E38 PCM to precisely calculate the injector pulse width, which is the key to achieving stable idle and accurate fuel trims on the LS2.
The ID1300-XDS is meticulously flow-matched (Dual Slope Matching) to deliver a consistent, minute fuel mass at the short pulse widths required during idle and low-load cruising. This fidelity prevents the erratic and rich condition that causes poor drivability with uncharacterized, high-flow injectors.
