98-02 Firebird (LS1) | ID1300-XDS | Injector Dynamics | 1300.60.14.14.8

ID1300-XDS, for 98-02 Trans Am / LS1-LS6 applications. 14mm (purple) adapters, set of 8

The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.

While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.

Frequently Asked Questions About the 98-02 Firebird (LS1) | ID1300-XDS

What maximum horsepower will the ID1300-XDS set support on a turbo or supercharged LS1 Firebird/Trans Am running E85 flex fuel?

The ID1300-XDS (1335 cc/min at 43.5 psi) is a top-level fuel solution for Gen III LS1 builds. This set of eight injectors is capable of supporting 900 to 1050+ wheel horsepower (whp)on E85, or significantly more on gasoline. This provides excellent margin for high-boost, high-RPM street/track applications.

Where can I find the official Injector Dynamics Latency and flow data needed for proper scaling of the 98-02 LS1 PCM in HP Tuners?

Injector Dynamics provides comprehensive characterization data, including Short Pulse Adder tables and Dead Time vs. Voltage tables (based on ID1300x). This data is essential for tuners using HP Tuners to accurately scale the high-flow injectors in the LS1's Gen III PCM, which is necessary for stable idle and accurate closed-loop fueling.

Is the 60mm length of the ID1300-XDS a true drop-in fit for the 98-02 LS1 factory intake manifold and fuel rail?

Yes, it is a true drop-in fit. This ID1300-XDS set is manufactured to the industry-standard 60mm O-ring to O-ring length for LS1/LS6 applications. It installs directly into the factory fuel rail and intake manifold ports without requiring spacers or any modifications to the rail height.

Since the LS1 uses the older EV1 style connector, are Plug-and-Play (PNP) adapters included with this USCAR ID1300-XDS set?

Adapters are required but are typically sold separately or as a purchase option with this set. The ID1300-XDS uses the USCAR (EV6/EV14) electrical connector, while the 98-02 LS1 factory harness uses the older, rectangular EV1 connector. You will need eight USCAR to EV1 PNP adapters (ID P/N 90.1) for a seamless electrical conversion.

How does the ID1300-XDS ensure a smooth idle on the LS1, considering its extremely high flow rate of 1335 cc/min?

The injector's core strength lies in its Dual Slope Matching and consistent minimum fuel mass capability. This technical design allows the injector to accurately meter very small amounts of fuel at low engine speeds, preventing the rough, fuel-rich idle condition common when using lesser quality high-flow injectors on the LS1 platform.
