ID1300-XDS, for Galant VR4, 2.0L turbo. 11mm (blue) adapter tops. Denso lower. Set of 4.
The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.
While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.
Base Specifications
The ID1300-XDS (1335 cc/min at 43.5 psi) is sized for high-power 4G63 builds. This set of 4 supports forced induction E85 setups well into the 600 to 750+ wheel horsepower range, offering ample flow margin for aggressive turbo builds on the VR4 chassis.
Yes, it is a direct fit. This ID1300-XDS set is configured to the standard 60mm O-ring to O-ring length required for the 4G63 engine. It includes an 11mm blue adapter top and a Denso-style lower seal (denoted by the 'D' in the part number) for correct seating and sealing in the manifold.
Yes, adapters are required. The ID1300-XDS uses the modern USCAR connector. The factory VR4 harness typically uses the older rectangular EV1 (Minitimer) connector. You will need four USCAR to EV1 PNP adapters (ID P/N 90.1) for a clean, non-splicing electrical hookup.
Yes, resistor pack removal is highly recommended. The ID1300-XDS is a high-impedance injector and must be wired directly to the ECU's saturated drivers. The factory low-impedance injectors use an external resistor pack, which must be bypassed or removed for the ID1300-XDS to function correctly and receive the proper voltage signal.
Cold start issues on the 4G63 are often caused by a dirty or faulty Idle Speed Control Valve (ISC) or throttle body. Before assuming a tuning issue, thoroughly check and clean the ISC valve and check for vacuum leaks, as these mechanical issues are often amplified by high-flow injectors.
