ID1300-XDS, for 99-04 Ford Cobra 4.6L Supercharged. 14mm (purple) adapters. Set of 8. **Not compatible with stock Ford ECU due to scaling limits**
The ID1300 is an all new injector, designed in partnership with Bosch Motorsport. This collaboration has given us the ability to design a high flow injector with characteristics specific to the needs of the motorsport tuner. The ID1300 was designed with alternative fuels in mind, and is the only performance injector available with all stainless internals. It is compatible with all known fuels, and will stand up to the corrosive nature of alcohol better than any injector on the market.
While the ID1300 was designed with an eye towards ethanol fueled engines, we have accounted for the occasional need to convert back to gasoline. The ID1300 has a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline use, and will provide exceptional idle and cruise behavior under these conditions. In addition to its multi-fuel capabilities, the compact body of the ID1300 allows fitment in 200+ applications, making it the most versatile injector in our lineup. The 1300 has continued to be refined and improved over the years, and the 1300-XDS is the latest and best version to date.
Base Specifications
The ID1300-XDS (1335 cc/min at 43.5 psi) is sized for extreme performance on the supercharged engine. This set of 8 supports forced induction E85 setups well into the 800 to 950+ wheel horsepower range, offering maximum flow and safety margin for heavily modified Cobra engines.
Yes, it is a direct fit. This ID1300-XDS set is configured to the standard 60mm O-ring to O-ring length required for the Modular engine fuel rails. It installs directly without requiring any additional spacers or adapters.
Yes, adapters are required. The ID1300-XDS uses the modern USCAR connector. The factory harness uses the older rectangular EV1 (Minitimer/Jetronic) connector. You will need eight USCAR to EV1 PNP adapters (ID P/N 90.1) for a clean, non-splicing electrical hookup.
Yes, but requires custom tuning. The stock Ford PCM has limited scaling resolution for injectors this large. Your tuner must use SCT Advantage III or similar software to input the supplied ID Dead Time and Flow vs. Pressure data and accurately scale the entire calibration, including the MAF sensor curve, to prevent rich conditions.
The tuner must precisely calibrate the Injector Timing and Idle Spark Advance tables in addition to the flow tables. Too much spark advance or incorrect injector timing at idle (around 14-18 degrees) will cause idle hunting or misfiring. The ID injector data allows the tuner to accurately set a minimum pulse width (min pulse width) to stabilize idle.
Yes. The ID1300-XDS is designed for high-pressure stability, rated up to 7.0 Bar (101.5 psi) differential pressure. This capability allows tuners to safely increase base fuel pressure in racing applications to squeeze more effective flow from the injector.
